Teddy Praise is a new group that has been started with the aim of bridging the gap between those who bring babies and young children for baptism and want to become a part of the church, but feel that the Sunday service is a bit difficult with a small child in tow (although babies and children of all ages are very welcome at all our services)
We meet every Friday in term time from 1.30 – 2.45pm in the Choir Vestry at the back of church for a time of play activities. Around 2pm we go into the lady chapel and have songs and a story followed by more singing. We then go back into the choir vestry to do a craft activity based on the theme of the day, usually making something that can be taken home.
Although this is worship in itself, it also helps to make children comfortable in the unfamiliar environment of the church building and more ready to join the rest of the church family for Sunday worship. All under fives and their carers are welcome to join us.
